WW returns July 9th through the 12th, pre‑registration is OPEN,
the schedules are published!
But do not linger long… pre‑reg closes June 1st, and your camp wants that bonus land. Remember our new bribe—er—incentive program:
pre-reg five gentles and earn extra land; pre-reg ten and your camp gets a nifty sign. Check the Land and Camping section of the shiny, new,
improved WW website for all the details.
Since we’re at F.A.R.E this week, let’s start with our equestrians,
because WW is bringing the thunder. Saturday evening debuts the brand‑new Sunset Joust, where horse and rider take the field as the sun dips low and the magic kicks in. But the joust is only the headline — our own Rosamund Redmare continues her noble quest to involve horses in every corner of the event.
Rattan fighting? Horses.
Dance? Horses.
Archery? Horses.
Thrown weapons? Horses.
And plenty of regular equestrian fun too.
At this point, Bardic is the only thing left… and she still has a month.
For our heavy fighters, Friday night brings the legendary Torchlight Tournament, returning to the tournament field in all its dramatic, silhouette‑against‑the‑flames glory. It’s a showcase, a story you’ll tell for years, and a magical moment for many. And beyond the torchlight? Melee. And more melee. With a side of melee. Until we close Saturday at 3 for Royal Court at 4.
And fear not, rapier friends — you are absolutely not left out. Starting Thursday afternoon and running through Saturday, the schedule is packed. Plenty of time to stab your friends lovingly and repeatedly.
Now… archers.
Our MiC, Aoife, has claimed the Early Bird Award by opening the range at 8 a.m. She’s filled the day with classics — including a Clout Shoot — and each afternoon promises “Merriment & Fun.” That’s all she’ll say. No details. No hints. Just a smile that says, “You’ll have to show up to find out.” Sounds like a challenge to me.
Are you coming to be social? To learn something new? You will not be disappointed.
There are dozens of classes in the air‑conditioned Canton Hall, plus an artisan row as well as the Authentic Encampment, our very own early period bastion in the modern world. And some of our most notorious stewards of shenanigans are planning evening social events as we speak – stay tuned for minor schedule updates over the next week and on site, always check with Info Point for any last moment changes.
Schedules are out, the excitement is real, and WW is shaping up to be the event you absolutely don’t want to miss. Pack your gear, gather your friends, and come be part of the magic.
Warriors and Warlords awaits.
